I just saw that on TV this morning and am intrigued. it's got to be helpful, but it will take lots and lots of hair to really make an impact.How helpful do you think human hair absorption of oil in the Gulf will be?
This makes me think of cleaning my clogged drain. It might absorb the oil but would create other problems. I do not think it would be worth your effort.
