i have big curly that i hate and i want straight hair without damaging my hair . help!!!How to straighten your hair without using a flat iron?
i use huge hot rollers
takes half the time and they dont damage your hair like flatirons
also you can put your make up on while the rollers are cooling
depending how thick your hair is ...but i use six BIG velvet covered hot rollers with pretty good size chunks of hair ( i want to straighten not curl )
when i take out the rollers i brush out my hair asap
now when i want the big wavy sexy hair i dont use a brush i just run my fingers through my hair and yippee sexy soft wavy hair ( which i prefer !! )How to straighten your hair without using a flat iron?
use a round brush or a flat brush and blow dry!
you can get it chemically straightened or try the straight shampoos and conditioners then use straightening balms or sprays on wet hair and blow dry it. if you're worried about damage, find things without any alcohol because the alcohol will dry out the hair.
All you have to do is use a really large curling iron. even a little one will work if you know how to use it. The ends will be a little curved but that makes it look better.
You can try blow drying it straight, but it will probably be poofy still. If you want really smooth straight hair, you need to use a flat iron. just make sure to use a heat protector beforehand, and deep condition regularly, and it'll be fine.
I don't really know how to but, if you don't want to damage your hair, get a straightener with ceramic plates. they protect your hair from getting damaged.
mine?

My hair is wavy, and when it was longer my stylist would use a large round brush with the blow dryer to straighten it. It also adds a little volume to the roots too. However, I am not good enough to do my hair like that, I have to use the flat iron.
You can get your hair chemically straightend, so it stays that way for a few months, but it costs pretty much moo-lah.
You could always try those shampoos that might help it be straighter?
SunSilk - Stick Straight
You could also buy stuff to put in your hair before you straighten it to protect it.
I'm not sure what any of these products are specifically called (since my hair is naturally straight) but i do know that there are products out there for curly hair.
that's practically impossible. yoU have to use a straightener.
There are straightening sprays or creams but it might not work as well.
No way to not damage your hair. The only way you can is with heat or chemicals. Get a heat protector, and it will protect your hair(ONLY to a point, though.)
use a blow dryer and a brush to straighten it out when its when bbut it'll get poofy so you'll have to straighten it just a little.
you can get products to protect your hair from the flat iron also.
Well it would be less damaging (compared to the flat iron approach) to blow dry your hair using a large round brush, just remember to dry it completely or else it can get frizzy. You should also use a straightening serum before blow drying for best results.
You don't really have many options here... you can either use a flat iron or choose to use a chemical straightener. I use a chemical straightener every 6 months because I have this very wavy layer that just won't straighten out with a blowdryer or even a flat iron. It's very frustrating because I can get the top layers of my hair super smooth and straight, but then I have the bottom layer that is just so stubborn. Even with a chemical straightener I still have to use a blowdryer but it does get much straighter. I take very good care of my hair.... I use a hot oil treatment a few times a month and keep up on trims. I try to be super gentle with the chemical straightener and try to keep the blowdrying time down to a minimum. I think as long as you're careful with what you do your hair will be ok....
permmm bbbyyyyyyyyyyyyy
ur gonna hav to use a straightener im 17 an i hav curly curly thick hair. and i straighten it about twice a week. not everyday cuz that will damage it. but if u go to wal mart they hav stuff to put on ur hair to use when u straighten it. and they hav heat protection flat irons.
Well, one thing: get the heat protection spray if you wanna flat iron it.
If not use like, a straightening roll thing they sell at wal-mart
you can use a serum (such as paul mitchell super skinny serum) and then blow dry it straight piece by piece with a round brush.
Another way to do it that does cause some damage, but isn't daily, is to get a home perm set (you can get a ';delicate'; one to minimize damage) and instead of using curlers, you make sure the hair is pulled straight while the chemical is in it.
A perm basically just freezes the hair in the position that it is in when the perm chemicals are in the hair. It causes some damage comparable to highlighting your hair.
