My mom doesn't let me to dye it...thank-youHow can I make my hair lighter?
There is a product called sun-in which lightens your hair.
My friend has dirty blonde hair and she uses that to make her hair lighter, it really does work. You can find it in boots, superdrug etc or online at amazon or beauty websites, just google search for it.
Hope that helps. How can I make my hair lighter?
I've used Sun-In which Animal suggested. But it is just hydrogen peroxide (the active ingredient) so is no different to just using hydrogen peroxide.
For hydrogen peroxide to work you need to use a high strength. Sun-In comes in different strengths of peroxide. You really need to use at least a 6% vol %26amp; preferably a 12% one.
Hydrogen peroxide is quite caustic and using without gloves can leave your hands without white patches (temporary) amd stinging. Do NOT allow it to drip into the eyes.
Hydrogen peroxide also requires heat to activate it... if you don't use heat (i.e blow dryer) then it won't work. Be warned that once the peroxide is activated (Sun-In or from a bottle) it will continue to lighten your hair - even without further applications - my hair is dark brown %26amp; I went lighter %26amp; lighter every time I blow dried, even without adding more. Hydrogen peroxide (even in Sun-In will KILL your hair condition too).
Dish washing soap will do NOTHING for your hair colour at all... it only works on dyed hair!
You may find lemon juice and hairdyer will give more natural results.
