Ive noticed that my shoes dont grip the court as much anymore. Ill admit ive used them on concrete before but only for a short trip(s). My teammates told me to try spraying hair spray on the bottom but that didnt work either... help!!!How do I get my volleyball shoes to grip the court again?
I've been playing volleyball for 6 years, I'm currently playing in college. From my experience volleyball shoes have a life expectancy of about one season... so maybe it's time to just get a new pair. Also towards the end of my shoes life before each play I just wipe the bottom of the shoe with my hand to get the dust off. It's annoying but it works. How do I get my volleyball shoes to grip the court again?
BUY NEW SHOES! You do not want to risk an injury by having slippery shoes. You should buy a new pair of volleyball shoes every year. If hairspray is not working, then I dont think you can save your shoes. Try looking for brands like Mizuno*** and Asics are oaky too.
sometimes, the grip on volleyball shoes wear off after around a season of play. So, maybe you might need to buy a new pair. Perhaps they are just dusty, if so, you can wipe them on your shoes, socks, hands, or just on the court. whatever works for you!
Spill a bit of water away from the court but on the gym floor. Then step into the water and walk around hitting them so that they squeak (best way I can explain it? lol). Do that until you don't feel like they are sliding anymore and you will have grip because they aren't dusty. =)
Works everytime
Use a cloth to clean the sole before you put them on. Gym floors are rarely very clean so I would recommend keeping a wet towel close by to wipe your shoes off when they start to not stick anymore.
