i was wondering if anyone had any tips to help me get it super straight? How do YOU straighten your hair?
by layers with paul mitchell super skinny serumHow do YOU straighten your hair?
I use a leave in conditioner out of the shower and blow dry it. It stays straight til i get in the shower again.
try buying tony and guy straightening shampoo and conditioner and spray or any of the other brands they'r extreamly good :) , my hair is 100% wavy/curly and only behave on its own accord unless i used that stuff dry it and then straighten it and use the spray stuff on each layer before i straighen and dry it :)
when i dont i get the same problem, i have quite thick hair so it crimps up and get ffunny and i got layers so i get it thined when i get it cut, also doing it in seperate layers can help alot :)
Don't because it thins your hair.
I basically do what ella said.
i let my hair dry naturally. then i use tresseme heat protector spray. %26amp; then in the morning i split up my hair into little sections %26amp; use my GVP hair straightener. i got it from sally beauty supply. its great %26amp; keeps it straight.
but i've been straightening just my side bangs with my dryer and just leaving the rest of my hair naturally wavy. im too tired to get up to straighten it anymore.
Haha, I'm straightening my hair as we speak - been trying to get my fringe to go the right way for 10 mins now! D:
I straighten it in very small sections, starting at the front, then going to the back, then re-doing the front. I then comb it through, put a bit of hairspray on it on voila! (:
First off, I always wash my hair at night and go to bed when it's still pretty wet. So when I wake up in the morning, my hair is extremely wild!
My hair is thick, so I always put my hair in a half-ponytail and straighten the hair that's down, take the ponytail out, and straighten the remainder of my hair. Then I put Tigi Bed Head After-Party in it. It makes my hair super smooth, shiny (but not greasy), and smell really good.
Well, do you sleep on it when you dry it?
You could always try just brushing it out when its wet, and brush it dry.
I don't use a straightener except to curl my bangs, so I'm not much help I guess. My hair is naturally straight as a ruler, I hate it. :(
Try doing it in layers if its very thick.
Do layers at a time. My hair is super thick and curly/frizzy!
it in layers if its very thick.
I flip my head over and straighten it if I'm in a hurry because it's really quick. If I have time, I pin pieces back and straighten it in sections.
I can't stand my hair natural so I straighten it nearly every single day.
If I dry my hair, I kind of brush it while I dry it in attempt of drying it straight. But it's still all wavy and poofy after that. So I part it in the middle and straighten my hair. I do the top layers first, then ponytail them and do the underlayers. Then I make my normal side part and do my bangs. Also, make sure you have a good straightener. I used to have this shiity one but now I got a new one like last year and it's 10x better. I also prefer the thin ones as to the fat ones. It makes it alot easier to get near the top of my head and small sections, and it really doesn't take any longer.
do you use straighteners or do you do it with your hair dryer?
straighteners always make hair waaaay straighter than doing it with a hair dryer does. get GHDs. if you don't know what they are, google them. they've been proven to be the best straighteners available. i have them. i straighten my hair all the time with my GHDs. i've been doing that for about 3 or 4 years now and my hair is still in pretty good condition.
make sure when straightening your hair that you layer it, because you'll never get underneath it straight unless you do. i blow dry my hair, then straighten it with GHDs. make sure you brush your hair right after you wash it, don't let it dry first THEN brush it, thats just all wrong
* Very small sections at a time
* Use strong hairspray (I use Aussie)
* Always use heat protectant spray (I use Tresemme)
Relaxer for me. I hate them though but my mom makes me get them. I hate anything related to hair..
Let me me think...Whenever I wash my hair, comb, and brush it, it becomes straight.
If that doesn't work, this is going to sound silly, then try putting something on it for a bit. You know how when you want to straighten a paper-..Just forget that.
My hair is medium length, so i usually wash it, condition it, then let it dry.
i tie up half of it, then straighten the underlayers, one layered section at a time, whilst it is sprayed with heat protection spray.
I also straighten it a bit more slowly as the effects are better.
Continue this for all the rest of your hair.
