I bought this straightener back in September and it was extremely HOT, welll i didn't realize till a month later that it was frying my hair REALLY REALLY bad. I had to get like 6 inches cut off. My hair is growing back fast but there are still some peices that are fried. How can I fix them without getting alot of hair cut off again ?How do you fix fried hair ?
you cant ever actually fix them, but you can make them look healthier.
Use a deep conditioner once a week, and a really hydrating conditioner for ever other time you wash.
I used to use cholesterol as my deep conditioner (comes in a like mayonaise looking tub and kinda looks like mayonaise it's self).
Use heat protectant spray to prevent further frying. Also a smoothing serum will make your fried hair less notticeable. How do you fix fried hair ?
Soak ur hair in Mayo for about 10 minutes. Then rinse - you may not need to condition it though.
some salons do a deep treatment to correct this type of damage.
you can buy a hair treatment at local drugstores, they sell some oils that you can warm and apply to your hair. I buy http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?s this L'oreal deep conditioning creme, you wash your hair with shampoo, rinse and use it instead of the regular conditioner, leave it in for at least 3 minutes and rinse.
Infusium 23 is also very good, sold at Wal Mart
